Software Test Engineer - Appium/Selenium

Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with the development and product/business team to understand software requirements and develop detailed test cases and test plans.

- Execute test cases, document test results, and identify, isolate, and report defects using issue tracking systems.

- Conduct functional, non-functional, smoke, sanity, regression, compatibility, and integration testing to validate software functionality and performance.

- Perform the back-end (REST API) or server-side testing.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues, providing detailed bug reports and working with the team to resolve issues.

- Participate in the analysis of test results, contribute to defect root cause analysis, and propose solutions.

- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry-standard testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products.

- Contribute to the improvement of the testing process and the implementation of quality assurance best practices.

- High attention to detail to identify even the smallest defects and inconsistencies.

- Good to have: Write and execute automation test cases, ensuring thorough test coverage and efficient execution.

Requirements :

- B. E/B. Tech/M. E/M. Tech/MCA with 2-3 years of experience in software testing.

- Proven experience in testing Web, iOS, and Android applications.

- Experience in reviewing the test cases.

- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle

(STLC).

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for ensuring software quality.

- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e. g., JIRA, Trello, TestRail).

- Good to have: Good knowledge of Java coding.

- Familiarity with automated testing tools (e. g. Appium, Selenium, TestNG) is a plus.

- Knowledge of API testing.

- Experience in iOS and Android app testing.

- Understanding and involvement in the SDLC and STLC.

- Having relevant certifications, such as ISTQB Certified Tester or Certified Software Quality

Analyst (CSQA), is a plus.
