Position: Software Quality Engineer - Data & ETL

Location: Gurgaon - Onsite

Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

- Review Data Mapping requirements for accuracy and completeness.

- Identify and assess project risks and exposures.

- Participate in Mainframe design reviews and understand application/system designs.

- Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

- Design test cases covering data setup, execution steps, and expected results.

- Create ETL automation scripts using Python and SQL.

- Execute functional, integration, conversion, regression, stress, platform, and intersystem testing.

- Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, and project teams for expected and actual results.

- Log and manage defects in qTest/Jira through closure.

- Provide regular testing status, issues, and risk updates to the Test Lead/Project Manager.

- Prepare test reports and participate in lessons-learned sessions.

- Support automation, performance, and security testing initiatives.

- Work flexible hours/weekends when required.

Mandatory Requirements:

- 3 - 7 years of Data & ETL Testing experience.

- Strong SQL and ETL Testing skills.

- Automation experience with Python and SQL.

- Agile methodology experience.

- Cloud/AWS knowledge.

- Experience with test case and defect management tools such as qTest, Jira, or equivalent.

- Exposure to Test Lead responsibilities is preferred.

- Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools.

- Knowledge of application environments and test environment preparation.

- Experience with automation, performance, and security testing strategies.
