Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software QA Tester II / Automotive VAS Stack Validation Engineer to join our team and drive validation of next-generation automotive virtualization platforms. The role involves end-to-end validation across Xen hypervisor, Android, Yocto, FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS, graphics, IVI, drivers, boot flows, and Ryzen AI workloads. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Linux/Android validation, FreeRTOS, virtualization, automation, and system-level debugging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate virtualized automotive platforms across Android, Yocto, and FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS.
- Execute end-to-end validation across firmware, hypervisor, and OS domains.
- Validate Xen-based virtualization, multi-VM environments, virtio pipelines, and device passthrough.
- Test boot flows and boot-time optimization across S3/S5 power states.
- Validate graphics, display, GPU, compositor, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay workflows.
- Perform system-level debugging, recovery validation, performance analysis, and issue isolation.
- Validate mixed-criticality, secure boot, safety, and cybersecurity flows.
- Validate automotive IVI use cases and system-level features.
- Work with firmware, kernel, virtualization, graphics, AI, and driver teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and automate test suites using Python, Shell, PyTest, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support validation of Ryzen AI workloads, cloud-based VAS environments, and audio pipelines.
Primary Skills:
- 3-6 years of experience in Software QA, System Validation, or Embedded Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ubuntu/Linux and Android validation.
- Good experience with FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS.
- Strong understanding of Linux kernel, hypervisors, drivers, bootloaders, and SoC power states.
- Hands-on experience with Xen virtualization and multi-VM orchestration.
- Experience in automotive compute or embedded platforms is highly preferred.
Secondary Skills:
- Strong programming/scripting skills in C/C++, Python, and Shell.
- Experience developing automated test suites.
- Knowledge of PyTest and Python/Shell-based automation frameworks.
- Experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI pipelines.
- Exposure to graphics/display validation, virtio, device passthrough, audio, and AI workloads.
- Good debugging, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical discipline.
