Role Overview :

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Head of Software to lead our software engineering efforts across industrial automation, product integration, and application development. This role is based at our Hosur facility and will play a critical leadership role in driving digital transformation through software innovation in design, manufacturing, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Standardization : Define and enforce best practices for software development, architecture, and lifecycle management across the

organization.

- Hardware-Software Integration : Build robust processes for seamless integration of embedded systems, PLCs, and industrial hardware with software platforms.

- End-to-End System Integration : Lead initiatives to integrate software solutions with design engineering and assembly line systems.

- Full Stack Development : Provide technical leadership in full stack development for both frontend and backend applications.

- Desktop Application Development : Drive the development of high-performance Windows/desktop-based applications for industrial use.

- Technical Leadership : Apply strong fundamentals in C#, .NET, PLC, and LabVIEW to architect, test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain critical software systems.

- AI/ML Applications : Guide and implement AI/ML-driven use cases within industrial automation and manufacturing.

- Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing software development team.

- Low-Code/No-Code Platform Development : Lead the architecture and implementation of internal low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate solution delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

1. Proven experience in leading software teams in an industrial automation or precision manufacturing environment.

2. Hands-on expertise with :

- C#, .NET, and desktop application development

- PLC programming and LabVIEW

- Integration of software with mechanical design and production systems

- AI/ML tools and platforms for predictive analytics or automation

- Full stack development (Frontend + Backend)

- Low-code/no-code platform development and deployment

3. Strong systems thinking, with ability to unify hardware, software, and operational technologies.

4. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualities

Prior experience in scaling digital/automation teams in a manufacturing or engineering design company.
