Job Description :
As a Software Engineer focusing on Post-Silicon Validation or ATE, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, and executing test programs for semiconductor devices. This role requires a strong blend of hardware and software understanding, with a focus on ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of silicon products throughout their lifecycle. You will contribute to test plan development, yield analysis, and automation efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
ATE Test Program Development :
- Develop, debug, and optimize test programs for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), specifically with strong proficiency in Advantest 93K / V93K / HDMT platforms.
- Ensure test programs are robust, efficient, and accurately validate silicon functionality.
Programming & Scripting :
- Utilize strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and x86 Assembly for test development, automation, and data analysis.
- Develop Python scripts for automation of test flows, data extraction, and results analysis.
Semiconductor Product Lifecycle :
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing product life cycle, from design to production and post-silicon validation.
Hardware Understanding :
- Possess knowledge of hardware design, including the ability to understand and work with specifications for load boards and probe cards.
- Experience with various hardware components like LDOs (Low Dropout Regulators) and Buck/boost converters.
Data Analysis & Debugging :
- Familiarity with data extraction and analysis tools such as JMP and Aqua.
- Ability to participate in yield analysis and the generation of test limits based on collected data.
- Perform in-depth debugging of test programs and hardware issues to ensure accurate test results.
Bench Testing & Validation :
- Experience in bench testing methodologies and techniques.
- Experience with HDMT (High Density Measurement Technology), Trace analysis, JTAG, TAP (Test Access Port) for silicon debug and validation.
- Contribute to test plan development and formal report out of validation results.
Communication :
- Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and documentation.
Must-Have Skills :
- ATE (Automated Test Equipment) : Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience.
- ATE Platforms : Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K / V93K / HDMT.
- Programming : Strong proficiency in Python, along with C/C++ and x86 Assembly.
Good to Have Skills/Experience :
- Familiarity with specific test methodologies for various silicon IPs.
- Experience in a production test environment.
