Role :

A software engineer develops and maintains products and internal systems. Depending on experience, performance, competence, and role, a software engineer may also engage in design, research, knowledge transfer, and training activities.

You are expected to consistently develop high-quality software solutions by :

- Analyzing and interpreting the requirements to fulfil the domain needs.

- Applying best engineering and architectural concepts.

- Ensuring product performance and maintainability by adhering standards, guidelines, processes, and tools.

- Performing comprehensive testing.

- Actively participating in communication with stakeholders to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.

Responsibilities :

- Use established engineering/architectural practices and principles when providing resolutions.

- Develop and gain the necessary proficiency (on-the-job training) to fulfil assignments.

- Develop fit-for-purpose resolutions and suggest alternative solutions for complex business scenarios.

- Technically test, debug, review and maintain software while ensuring usability, maintainability, security and performance.

- Ensure customer satisfaction, along with solution accuracy.

- Provide timely updates to all applicable stakeholders regarding the progress of a given assignment.

- Ensure completion of assignments within the agreed time and scope constraints.

- Have up-to-date knowledge on trends in the IT industry.

Requirements :

A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.

The potential to work in a distributed global team set up on a 24-7 roster is a definite plus.

Mandatory Skills :

- Database programming knowledge such as Oracle SQL or PL/SQL programming

- Knowledge and skills in troubleshooting/solving performance issues.

- Presentation skills

- Business communication skills

- Analytical skills in identifying the root cause and most feasible solutions.

- Skills in adaptability and responsiveness, along with an understanding on change management

Good to have Skills :

- Previous working experience with Enterprise-grade software is a definite advantage. Knowledge in .Net framework, Java scripting

- Mobile application development knowledge

- Web application development knowledge

- Adequate knowledge on Cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
