Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer II (Node.js) based in Mumbai, you will be at the heart of our engineering efforts, designing and scaling high-performance backend systems that power our core product offerings.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps specialists, to translate complex business requirements into robust, maintainable code.

Your contributions will directly influence the scalability and reliability of our platform, ensuring a seamless experience for thousands of users while driving technical excellence within the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement scalable microservices using Node.js and Express.js to ensure high availability and performance for our end-users.

- Design and maintain efficient RESTful Webservices that facilitate seamless data exchange between internal systems and external clients.

- Optimize database performance and schema design in MongoDB and SQL environments to support rapid data retrieval and storage requirements.

- Integrate TypeScript into existing codebases to improve type safety, reduce runtime errors, and enhance overall developer productivity.

- Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure management using AWS, Docker, and CI/CD practices to accelerate the release cycle.

- Author comprehensive unit tests to maintain high code quality standards and prevent regressions in critical business logic.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are met with precision and transparency.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in building backend applications with Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript, with a proven ability to write clean, modular, and performant code.

- Strong proficiency in managing data persistence layers using both MongoDB and SQL, ensuring data integrity and query optimization.

- Proven experience in designing and deploying microservices within an AWS cloud environment, utilizing Docker for containerization.

- Ability to manage version control workflows effectively using Git and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline development.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on writing testable code through rigorous unit testing practices.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, combined with 3 - 6 years of professional experience in backend engineering.

- High adaptability to fast-paced, Agile-driven environments, showing a proactive approach to learning new technologies and mentoring junior team members.
