Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer I, you will be at the heart of our product development team in Mumbai, bridging the gap between legacy systems and modern, scalable architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and senior engineers, to build and maintain robust web applications that serve thousands of daily active users.

Your day-to-day will involve writing clean, maintainable code, optimizing database queries, and ensuring seamless integration between our PHP-based backends and Node.js microservices. By delivering high-performance features and resolving complex technical bottlenecks, you will directly influence our platform's reliability and the overall experience of our end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Node.js to ensure high availability and performance for our growing user base.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs that facilitate smooth data exchange between front-end interfaces and server-side logic.

- Optimize MySQL database schemas and queries to improve application response times and data integrity.

- Collaborate with the engineering team throughout the full SDLC, from initial requirement gathering to deployment and post-release monitoring.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a seamless user experience.

- Translate complex business requirements into functional HTML/CSS/JavaScript components that align with our design standards.

- Manage version control and code collaboration through Git to ensure a streamlined and error-free deployment pipeline.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in building server-side applications using PHP and Node.js, with a strong grasp of MVC architecture and asynchronous programming.

- Proven ability to manage and query MySQL databases, including complex joins and performance tuning, to support data-intensive applications.

- Solid understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, enabling you to work effectively across the full stack.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and fix bugs within existing codebases efficiently.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative team environment.

- Experience working within an agile SDLC environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.

- A proactive mindset toward learning new technologies and a commitment to writing clean, documented, and testable code.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid office environment in Mumbai, maintaining high productivity and clear communication with distributed team members.

- 1 - 3 years of professional experience in software development, ideally within a fast-paced product-driven organization.
