The Client is building the future of road safety through technology-enabled enforcement and real-time automation. As we transform our platform architecture from a monolith to distributed microservices, quality at scale is non-negotiable.

We are looking for a Software Development Test Engineer (SDET) who thrives on building robust automated test systems that ensure platform stability, performance, and accuracy. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of engineering and qualityowning the end-to-end testing lifecycle across our customer-facing and backend services.

This is a critical role for someone who wants to be part of an ambitious journey: scaling a modern Automated Safety Platform that protects communities and enables cities to enforce road safety laws through real-time data, analytics, and AI.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own and evolve test automation across our web and backend microservicesfrom test strategy to execution.

- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites covering functional, regression, API, and performance scenarios.

- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, moving toward 100% regression automation.

- Work in Agile (Scrum) teams to define, refine, and execute test strategies sprint-by-sprint.

- Write and maintain manual tests when necessary, especially in early-stage or exploratory testing contexts.

- Define and monitor test metrics, track defects, and continuously improve test effectiveness.

- Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or WebLOAD to simulate production load and stress scenarios.

- Build robust API testing coverage with REST/GraphQL services, validating both functional and non functional aspects.

- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and product owners to define test criteria for features and services from day one.

- Drive a culture of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and shift-left practices within engineering teams.

- Provide actionable insights through root cause analysis, system monitoring, and log-based validation (e.g., using Datadog).

Preferred Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer in modern, web-based software environments.

- Strong background in automated testing tools and frameworks such as CodeceptJS, Jest, Cypress, RSpec, or equivalent.

- 3+ years of API and performance testing with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or WebLOAD.

- Hands-on experience in CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodeBuild.

- Experience working with cloud-native platforms and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS).

- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora).

- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog is a plus.

- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent hands-on experience.

- Strong Git proficiency and collaborative development using pull requests and peer reviews.
