Role & Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, high-quality software applications.

- Manage and mentor a team of software developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and continuous feedback.

- Define technical architecture, development standards, coding best practices, and software engineering processes.

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, development plans, and actionable tasks.

- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

- Review code for quality, performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

- Identify technical risks, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.

- Plan and manage sprint activities, resource allocation, development timelines, and release schedules using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Drive continuous improvement through automation, CI/CD practices, testing strategies, and modern development tools.

- Ensure adherence to security standards, performance benchmarks, coding guidelines, and software development best practices.

- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve development efficiency and product quality.

- Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery against agreed business objectives.

- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, technical ownership, and a culture of continuous learning within the engineering team.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 7 - 12 years of overall experience in software development, including proven experience leading or mentoring development teams.

- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar technologies.

- Hands-on experience with software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and system design.

- Experience building scalable applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with third-party systems.

- Proficiency in relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.

- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and DevOps practices.

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, estimation, and project delivery.

- Demonstrated ability to conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, resolve complex technical issues, and drive technical decisions.

- Proven leadership, team management, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership, delivery management, and team development.

- Strong analytical thinking, ownership, accountability, and a results-oriented approach.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality software within agreed timelines.
