As a SDE III, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product and student experience by collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving the execution of key initiatives/features. Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for companys core platform to enhance the student experience.

- You will architect and extend projects, by building scalable and reusable components and libraries for future use

- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to understand user requirements and create impactful features.

- Optimising components for maximum performance across cloud computers and a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

- Ensure best practices in code quality, conduct regular code review and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

- Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure platform stability.

- Manage a team of 2-3 (SDE I/II + Interns) and mentor them to be good engineers / contributors.

Skills & Requirements :

- You are an entrepreneurial and get-things-done type of an engineer, who can take charge, and build the application and experiences towards it. You have >2 years of experience in the industry as a software engineer.

- Good understanding of Database schema, design, optimization, scalability

- Experience in developing modern web applications using React.js/VueJs for the frontend and JAVA/Ruby/Golang/NodeJs/Python and frameworks like Spring boot/Rails/Django/Express for the backend

- Good knowledge of MySQL or any other SQL databases

- Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database

- Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and its use cases

- Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks

- Good knowledge of Containers, CI/CD pipeline, and automating deployments and testing.

- Good documentation experience on functional and/or technical aspects of the project

- Bonus if you have: Experience with AWS, Prior Open-source contributions, and Experience building responsive designs.
