Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 3 - 5 years of experience and strong expertise in Java, backend technologies, databases, and operational support. The candidate will work to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability of backend applications through test automation, development support, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to validate backend services and APIs.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of backend systems.

- Analyze application logs, troubleshoot issues, and support root cause analysis.

- Validate data integrity using SQL queries and database validation techniques.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality improvements across the SDLC.

- Monitor application health and support operational activities in lower and production-like environments.

- Identify automation opportunities and continuously improve test coverage and execution efficiency.

- Work closely with the Atlas development team to understand technical requirements and support releases.

Technical Skills:

- Strong programming experience in Java.

- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

- Strong knowledge of backend applications, REST APIs, microservices architecture, and web services.

- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Rest Assured, TestNG/JUnit, or similar tools.

- Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).

- Experience in API testing and backend validation.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.

- Experience with source control systems such as Git.

Operational & Troubleshooting Skills:

- Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

- Ability to analyze application logs and production issues.

- Understanding of deployment, release management, and operational support processes.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
