Role : SDET I (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Experience : 1 - 3 years


Employment Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented SDET I to join our QA Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, hands-on experience in API automation, a good understanding of mobile automation, and excellent manual testing skills. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for API testing (preferred : Java-based frameworks).

- Contribute to Appium mobile automation (Android/iOS) at a foundational level.

- Perform manual testing with strong exploratory and bug-hunting skills.

- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

- Perform basic performance testing (hands-on experience is a plus).

- Debug issues, analyze failures, and work with developers to drive root-cause fixes.

- Ensure test coverage, maintain test documentation, and support continuous integration pipelines.

- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned tasks, from planning to execution and reporting.

- Contribute to improving QA processes, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 13 years of experience as an SDET, QA Engineer, or similar role.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java preferred).

- Strong hands-on skills in API automation (REST Assured, Postman, or similar).

- Basic experience or understanding of Appium for mobile automation.

- Strong manual testing expertise and ability to identify critical bugs.

- Good understanding of QA concepts, SDLC, and STLC.

- Understanding of performance testing principles (hands-on experience is a plus).

- Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving attitude.

- Self-driven, ownership mindset, and ability to take end-to-end responsibility.

Good-to-Have :

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)

- Exposure to version control systems (Git).

- Experience with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Cloudy, AWS Device Farm).

- Experience with databases and basic SQL queries.
