Role Overview :

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SDET to join our Quality Engineering team in Gurugram. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites across API layers. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products at speed.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java and API.

- Write and execute comprehensive test cases covering functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure adequate test coverage.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work with developers to resolve defects promptly.

- Participate in sprint ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Contribute to test planning, test strategy documentation, and quality metrics reporting.

- Support API testing efforts and validate backend service responses for correctness and performance.

- Continuously improve test suite quality, stability, and execution speed.

- Stay updated with the latest QA tools, frameworks, and best practices in the industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation.

- Strong proficiency in Java for writing clean, maintainable automation code.

- Solid experience with API & Rest Assured.

- Good understanding of mobile app testing concepts - gestures, device capabilities, parallel execution.

- Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development workflows.

- Knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Good to Have :

- Experience with REST Assured for API test automation - validating REST/JSON web services.

- Exposure to Postman or similar tools for manual and automated API testing.

- Understanding of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber with Gherkin syntax.

- Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6.

- Knowledge of containerisation tools (Docker) and cloud-based device testing (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

- Awareness of AI-assisted testing tools and emerging trends in intelligent test automation.

- Experience working in a telecom or enterprise SaaS product environment.
