Role Overview :

As an SDET, you will serve as a critical bridge between development and quality engineering, architecting robust automation frameworks that ensure the delivery of high-performance software.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, developers, and stakeholders to define testing strategies that align with business goals. By embedding quality early in the software development lifecycle, you will directly influence the reliability of our platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for our end-users while accelerating our time-to-market in a fast-paced Mumbai-based environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Actively test front-end, back-end, API, and distributed microservices using tools like Playwright, Jest, Supertest, Cypress, Postman, RestAssured and other modern frameworks.

- Perform and organise performance testing with tools such as K6, JMeter.

- Conduct deep-dive UI testing using Playwright to ensure cross-browser compatibility and a flawless user interface across all client-facing applications.

- Optimize database performance and data validation processes by writing complex SQL queries to verify backend state transitions.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building automation frameworks from scratch using Java, TypeScript, or C++, with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles.

- Proven ability to design and execute end-to-end testing strategies for RESTful APIs and modern UI frameworks, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Proficiency in leveraging TestNG and other testing libraries to create modular, maintainable, and efficient test scripts.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment, showing adaptability and a proactive approach to solving problems in a hybrid work setting.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools, with a focus on automating the path from code commit to production deployment.

- Candidates must possess 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in software development or quality engineering roles.
