Client is a US company that manufactures electronic test and measurement equipment and software. It brings with it the product lines focused on electronics and radio. Client's products include hardware and software for benchtop, modular, and field instruments. Instruments include oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, atomic force microscopes (AFM), automated optical inspection, automated X-ray inspection (5DX), in-circuit testers, power supplies, tunable lasers, optical power meters, wavelength-meters, electro-optic converters, optical modulation analyzers and handheld tools. In addition, it produces electronic design automation (EDA) software (EEsof division). It mainly serves the telecommunications, aerospace/defense, industrial, computer, and semiconductor industries.

Job Description - Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Role Overview:

You will be a Part of Company's Software and AI Labs centralized QA team, this role focuses on automation, AI-driven testing, and next-generation quality engineering, including validation of AI platforms and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and system testing

- Create test strategies, scenarios, and test cases from requirements

- Drive AI-powered testing (test generation, self-healing automation, defect insights)

- Validate MCP servers / AI systems including API orchestration, context handling, and performance validation

- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing

- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing

- Collaborate with Dev, DevOps, and AI teams; mentor junior engineers

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related field

- 3-5 years of experience in test automation

- Strong Python and Java programming skills

- Experience with Selenium/Playwright, REST/SOAP API testing

- Familiarity with PyTest/JS frameworks

- Knowledge of Agile, STLC, CI/CD (Jenkins, Git)

AI, MCP & Advanced Skills:

- Experience with AI/ML in QA or intelligent automation

- Familiarity with Generative AI / LLM tools (Copilot, OpenAI)

- Exposure to AI-based test generation and self-healing automation

- Experience or knowledge of MCP server / AI platform testing

- Understanding of prompt engineering and AI workflows
