About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled SDET Engineer Automation with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, and data validation to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks using Java-based technologies and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. This role is best suited for professionals who enjoy coding, automation, and delivering high-quality enterprise applications in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, and Serenity BDD.

- Develop and execute automated UI and API test scripts using REST Assured.

- Perform database and data validation testing using SQL across ETL processes, Data Warehouses, MDM, Data Pipelines, and Data APIs.

- Execute end-to-end testing, including Unit, Integration, API, Smoke, Regression, System, and Performance Testing.

- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and quality gates.

- Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and reporting frameworks.

- Validate enterprise applications developed using Java and Spring Boot.

- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, test strategy discussions, and Agile ceremonies.

- Manage test execution, defect lifecycle, test data, and quality metrics across multiple environments.

- Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product Owners to ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve automation productivity.

- Support release validation and deployment activities across development, QA, and production environments.

Required Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates with:

- 6+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Test Automation Engineer.

- Strong hands-on expertise in:

1. Java

2. Selenium WebDriver

3. Cucumber BDD

4. Serenity BDD

5. REST Assured

- Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and reusable automation components.

- Good knowledge of Spring Boot applications and backend testing.

- Strong SQL skills with experience in:

1. Database Testing

2. Data Validation

3. Test Data Creation

4. ETL Testing

5. Data Warehouse Testing

6. Master Data Management (MDM)

7. Data Pipelines and Data APIs

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, defect management, test planning, and quality metrics.

- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience testing React-based applications.

- Understanding of API design and architecture.

- Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.

- Experience with Jira, Zephyr, or Xray.

- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes environments.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
