SDET (BANKING DOMAIN):

Job Type: contract 12 months extendable (C2H)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SDET with strong expertise in Manual Testing, Test Automation, and Banking Domain applications. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in functional, API, database, and automation testing, along with strong debugging, code analysis, and problem-solving skills. The candidate will be expected to contribute to automation framework development, code reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous quality engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, review, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases.

- Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, API, Database, and Automation Testing.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

- Review automation code and contribute to framework improvements and best practices.

- Debug application issues by analyzing source code, browser developer tools, network traces, and logs.

- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve complex defects.

- Validate APIs and backend systems using Postman, REST APIs, and SQL queries.

- Participate in requirement reviews and identify quality risks early in the SDLC.

- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.

- Ensure applications meet business, usability, accessibility, and customer expectations.

- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and DevOps teams.

- Provide quality metrics, risk assessments, and release readiness recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering.

- Mandatory Banking or Financial Services domain experience.

- Strong expertise in Functional, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, API, and Database Testing.

- Hands-on experience in automation scripting using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

- Ability to read, understand, debug, and analyze application code.

- Experience conducting code reviews for automation scripts and test frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.

- Strong SQL skills and database validation experience.

- Experience working with browser developer tools, application logs, and network traces.

- Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with Git, code repositories, and branching strategies.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
