Software Development Engineer - Test - API/Automation Testing

Role : Backend SDET-1

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 2 to 5 years of experience in backend development testing and performance testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by developing robust automation frameworks, conducting comprehensive backend tests, and optimizing performance testing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services.

- Perform API testing, database validation, and integration testing.

- Develop and execute performance testing strategies to identify bottlenecks and improve system scalability.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand architecture and design test strategies accordingly.

- Write and maintain test scripts using languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

- Work with tools like Postman, JMeter, Gatling, Locust, and Selenium.

- Ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience in API testing and Automation.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python.

- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured or similar.

- Expertise in creating and maintaining automation frameworks.

- Strong understanding of RESTful services and JSON/XML data formats.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
