Role Overview :

As a Software Development Engineer III, you will serve as a technical anchor within our engineering team in Bangalore, taking ownership of complex, high-scale systems that power our core product offerings. You will spend your day architecting robust solutions, writing high-performance code, and mentoring junior engineers to elevate the overall technical bar of the organization.

Working closely with product managers, data scientists, and cross-functional engineering leads, you will translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps. Your work will directly influence the reliability and performance of our platform, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users while driving the long-term technical strategy of the company.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems to ensure platform stability during peak traffic periods for our global customer base.

- Lead the migration and maintenance of monolithic components into a scalable microservices architecture to improve deployment velocity and system modularity.

- Architect end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that automate testing and deployment cycles, significantly reducing time-to-market for new feature releases.

- Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide architectural guidance to peer developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and best-practice adherence.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations that enhance system throughput and reduce operational latency.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling complex applications using Java, with a deep understanding of JVM internals and multi-threaded programming.

- Proven ability to design and maintain distributed systems that handle high concurrency, ensuring data consistency and system resilience.

- Strong command over microservices architecture, including service discovery, inter-service communication patterns, and distributed tracing.

- Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD workflows, ensuring seamless integration and continuous delivery in a fast-paced environment.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional decision-making.

- A track record of solving ambiguous problems independently, demonstrating strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to system design.

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment in Bangalore, working effectively with both local and distributed teams.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a premier institute is preferred, complemented by 5 - 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
