Role Overview :

As a Software Development Engineer II - Python Backend Developer, you will be at the heart of our engineering efforts, architecting and scaling high-performance backend systems that power our core product offerings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps specialists, to translate complex business requirements into robust, maintainable code. Your contributions will directly influence the scalability and reliability of our platform, ensuring a seamless experience for our growing user base while driving technical excellence across the engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable microservices using Python, Django, and FastAPI to support high-traffic applications and improve system throughput.

- Develop and maintain efficient RESTful Webservices that facilitate seamless communication between internal and external systems, ensuring high availability and low latency.

- Optimize database performance and query execution in PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and rapid retrieval for mission-critical operations.

- Implement caching strategies using Redis to reduce latency and enhance the overall responsiveness of the application for end-users.

- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes to streamline the CI/CD pipeline and ensure consistent environment parity.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine technical requirements and deliver high-quality features that align with long-term business objectives.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building production-grade backend systems using Python, with a strong command over Django and FastAPI frameworks.

- Deep understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms, with the ability to write clean, optimized, and testable code that solves complex engineering challenges.

- Proven experience in designing and maintaining Microservices Architecture, coupled with hands-on proficiency in AWS cloud services for infrastructure management.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and database design, specifically with PostgreSQL, to manage complex data models and ensure optimal performance.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative team environment.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Bangalore or Hyderabad, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Proficiency in version control systems like Git and a commitment to following best practices in code reviews and documentation.
