Software Development Engineer I - Python/Django

Responsibilities :

- Architecture : Design and implement modular, scalable application architectures that meet business and design needs, while continuously optimizing and refactoring code for improved performance and maintainability.

- Production and Deployment : Oversee CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and scaling of services in production environments, and handle server setup, configuration, and maintenance to ensure smooth and reliable operations.

- Development Quality and Ownership : Uphold high standards in problem solving, design, development, and bug resolution, taking full ownership of product features.

- Mentor team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and work within an Agile framework to deliver high-quality, maintainable software solutions.

- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

- Minimum 2 years of prior hands-on technical work experience with a focus on Python, Django, and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure management.

- Worked in a start-up-like environment with high levels of ownership and commitment.

- Passion for tackling complex and challenging problems.

- Proficient in high-level design, implementation, and understanding design patterns.

- Experienced in microservices-based architecture, can work on cloud infrastructures like Azure, AWS, etc., ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.

- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adopt technologies that support the development of large-scale, high-performance, reliable, and sustainable systems.

- You're open to being a generalist and adapting to the uncertainty of early-stage startups.

- Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and problem-solve for aspects that you or the team may encounter for the first time or are not familiar with.

- You bring your own unique skill set to the table and collaborate with others to accomplish your team's goals with a firm focus on targets and deadlines.
