About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Software Architect to own the architecture and technical direction of two enterprise products. The role requires strong expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, enterprise application architecture, and cloud-native technologies.

The ideal candidate should have experience modernizing established applications, reducing technical debt, improving system performance and reliability, and evaluating practical AI/GenAI use cases. The candidate must be capable of balancing architectural decisions with hands-on engineering understanding and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the current and target architecture of enterprise products.

- Define and execute product-specific architecture and engineering roadmaps.

- Guide application design, modernization initiatives, and technical debt reduction.

- Drive improvements in security, reliability, scalability, performance, observability, and disaster recovery.

- Guide C#/.NET application design, SQL Server architecture, APIs, integrations, and deployment practices.

- Conduct architecture and design reviews and mentor engineering teams.

- Evaluate and implement practical AI/GenAI use cases with appropriate quality, security, and data protection measures.

- Establish and maintain architecture standards, technical documentation, and architecture decision records.

- Maintain technical risk and debt registers.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams on technical decisions and priorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 10+ years of relevant software engineering and architecture experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in C# and .NET.

- Strong experience with SQL Server.

- Experience in software and enterprise architecture.

- Strong understanding of APIs and enterprise integrations.

- Experience modernizing legacy or established applications.

- Cloud-native architecture experience, including containers, horizontal scalability, and zero-downtime deployments.

- Strong understanding of security, reliability, observability, and disaster recovery.

- Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment practices.

- Strong architecture decision-making, design reviews, and technical leadership capabilities.

- Practical experience implementing or evaluating AI/GenAI solutions.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in the insurance domain.

- Experience working with long-lived enterprise products and complex integrations.

- Exposure to cloud platforms and cloud infrastructure.

- Experience with data migration.

- Experience establishing architecture governance, engineering standards, and best practices.
