Software Application Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Application Engineer to join our team at Genesis HR Services.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills to manage and resolve complex application issues.

Key Responsibilities :

- Triage, manage, and resolve technical issues related to enterprise applications.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely issue resolution and application stability.

- Participate in program increment planning and prioritization sessions, acting as the voice of application support.

- Perform root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

- Provide minor development support by enhancing or modifying existing support scripts.

- Monitor application performance and generate dashboards using tools like Dynatrace, Kibana, and Power BI.

- Utilize distributed tracing for debugging and performance optimization.

- Maintain and utilize the ServiceNow platform (version Vancouver or later) for incident, problem, and change management.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

- Strong ability to triage and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.

- Working knowledge of :

1. Technologies : Java, Microservices, Tanzu / Kubernetes, Kafka, DataStage, MarkLogic, Oracle, SQL.

2. DevOps Practices : CI/CD pipelines, distributed tracing, application monitoring.

3. Monitoring Tools : Kibana, Dynatrace, Power BI.

- Experience in performing minor updates and enhancements to existing scripts.

- Proficient in using ServiceNow (preferably version Vancouver or later).

- Excellent verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.

- Self-organized and proactive, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
