Key Responsibilities :

QA Leadership & Strategy :

- Provide counsel and advisory support to senior management on critical Quality Assurance and testing matters, often requiring coordination across multiple teams and organizations.

- Act as a principal QA consultant at the highest technical level, guiding project teams and client stakeholders through complex testing initiatives.

- Define, implement, and govern QA strategies, frameworks, and best practices across programs and applications.

Technical & Functional Testing :

- Support the successful design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications across host-based, distributed, and client-server environments.

- Draft, review, revise, and approve test strategies, test plans, and test scripts, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and IT strategy.

- Create comprehensive test data sets with valid and invalid records to validate program logic, data integrity, and end-to-end system flow.

- Perform oversight of system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing activities.

Stakeholder & Client Collaboration :

- Collaborate closely with client representatives, business users, and IT management throughout the project lifecycle.

- Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including alpha and beta testing, ensuring business readiness and sign-off.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams on testing methodologies, risk mitigation, and quality improvements.

Process Improvement & Governance :

- Analyze existing QA processes and design new or enhanced QA procedures, standards, and guidelines.

- Develop and implement QA metrics and dashboards to measure quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of delivered software.

- Ensure all testing activities are fully documented, defects are tracked and resolved, and quality gates are met before release.

- Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new QA tools and technologies.

Thought Leadership :

- Establish and maintain a consistent testing methodology across projects and teams.

- Provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines within QA and testing.

- Be recognized as the "go-to person" for the most complex and critical Quality Assurance and testing assignments.

- Mentor and guide QA teams to uplift overall quality maturity and testing capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, with strong exposure to Mainframe systems.

- Hands-on expertise in JCL, VSAM, Db2, SQL, Teradata.

- Experience testing applications across mainframe, distributed, and client-server environments.

- Strong understanding of test strategy, test governance, and QA metrics.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

- Ability to work in a WFO environment and collaborate closely with client and internal teams.
