Softpath Technologies - EDI Operations/Axway Consultant

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Technical Consultant EDI Operations / Axway EDI Consultant to support our Integration Operations team. This role focuses on delivering robust customer integration solutions, managing EDI and API platforms, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of global integration systems.

You will be responsible for application management of Axway B2Bi platforms, supporting API/EDI customer onboarding projects, and collaborating with internal teams, customers, and external infrastructure providers to ensure seamless technical communication and integration operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Integration Platform Operations & Support :

- Manage and support EDI and API integration platforms, primarily Axway B2Bi.

- Perform technical application monitoring, system health checks, root cause analysis, and proactive issue resolution.

- Ensure secure, stable, and efficient day-to-day operations of global API and B2Bi platforms.

- Handle incident, problem, and change management activities in line with operational standards.

Technical Optimization & Continuous Improvement :

- Analyze system performance and implement continuous technical optimization of integration platforms.

- Identify automation opportunities and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

- Support upgrades, patches, and configuration changes for EDI/API platforms.

Customer Integration & Connectivity :

- Support customer connection and onboarding projects for API and EDI integrations.

- Implement and manage the technical communication layer between customers, partners, and internal systems.

- Configure and support communication protocols such as AS2, FTP/SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQ, JMS, etc.

- Manage certificates, encryption, and security configurations required for data exchange.

Infrastructure & Vendor Coordination :

- Coordinate with infrastructure and hosting providers for activities such as:

- Firewall and network rule changes

- System and environment configuration updates

- Platform availability and performance issues

- Ensure compliance with security, operational, and business continuity requirements.

Stakeholder Communication :

- Act as a technical interface between internal teams, external customers, and third-party partners.

- Provide clear technical communication and documentation for integration setups and operational processes.

- Support customers with troubleshooting, enhancements, and technical guidance.

Business Continuity & Compliance :

- Develop, document, and execute business continuity and disaster recovery concepts for integration platforms.

- Ensure adherence to operational best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Education & Experience :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

3+ years of experience for Consultant roles.

58+ years of experience for Lead roles, including mentoring or technical ownership.

Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with EDI / API integration platforms, preferably Axway B2Bi.

- In-depth knowledge of EDI and API communication protocols, including:

- AS2

- FTP / SFTP

- HTTP / HTTPS

- MQ, JMS

- Experience handling:

- Digital certificates

- Encryption and security

- Data interchange formats (XML, JSON, EDIFACT, X12, etc.)

- Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems.

- Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language.

- Familiarity with cloud technologies; knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures is a plus.
