We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Engineer to lead and execute complex data migration projects from legacy systems to our Snowflake data warehouse within the Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement data migration strategies from legacy systems to Snowflake.

- Conduct data discovery, profiling, and mapping of source systems.

- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.

- Configure and optimize Snowflake warehouses, databases, and schemas.

- Implement data validation frameworks and automated testing procedures.

- Leverage Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 for data staging and processing.

- Establish data quality checks and validation rules throughout migration process.

- Monitor and optimize performance for both Azure services and Snowflake.

- Create technical documentation for migration processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in data migration and ETL/ELT development.

- Expert-level proficiency with Snowflake architecture and best practices.

- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake

Storage Gen2.

- Advanced SQL skills with complex query optimization experience.

- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting.

- Experience with data modeling and schema design.

- Knowledge of data integration patterns and API development.

Platform Experience :

- Azure certification (AZ-104, DP-203, or equivalent) preferred.

- Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced) preferred.

- Experience with data profiling and data quality tools.

- Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.

- Knowledge of change data capture (CDC) and real-time data streaming.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Project management experience with Agile methodologies.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
