Role Overview :

The Senior SAP Test Engineer will be responsible for validating SAP functional and technical processes through comprehensive test planning, test execution, and defect management. This role requires strong domain knowledge across SAP modules, experience in both manual and automated testing, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality SAP application delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Test Planning & Documentation :

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SAP applications.

- Ensure test coverage aligns with business processes and project requirements.

- Maintain test documentation following established standards and best practices.

2. Functional & Technical Testing :

- Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, HR/HCM, PP, BW, and others.

- Validate SAP configuration settings, workflows, business rules, and data flows across end-to-end processes.

3. Test Execution :

- Execute manual test cases using SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, and other web interfaces.

- Document test results using enterprise test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, Worksoft, Tricentis Tosca).

- Support execution of batch jobs, interface testing (SAP & non-SAP), and data migration validation.

4. Defect Management :

- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.

- Collaborate closely with SAP functional consultants, technical developers, and business teams to ensure prompt resolution.

- Provide regular defect status updates and participate in triage discussions.

5. UAT Support & Business Collaboration :

- Assist business stakeholders in UAT planning and execution.

- Provide guidance on test scenarios, data preparation, and issue resolution.

- Ensure testing aligns with business expectations and project timelines.

6. Traceability & Compliance :

- Ensure complete traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and business outcomes.

- Adhere to internal quality standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.

7. Continuous Improvement :

- Recommend improvements to testing processes, frameworks, and methodologies.

- Contribute to knowledge sharing, best practice creation, and overall QA capability enhancement.

Required Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP functional testing or SAP QA roles.

- Strong understanding of SAP business processes across at least one major module (FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, PP, etc.).

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, TestRail, etc.

- Exposure to automation tools like Worksoft Certify, Tricentis Tosca, SAP CBTA, or similar platforms (preferred).

- Strong capability in test data creation, defect analysis, and workflow validation.

Soft Skills :
