Snowflake Solution Architect

Description :

KPI Partners is seeking an experienced Snowflake solution architect with strong Matillion ETL expertise to drive end-to-end data platform architecture and lead POD teams.

This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise to design scalable, high-performance data solutions while ensuring successful delivery across projects.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions :

Architecture and Solution Design :

- Define and implement end-to-end data architecture using Snowflake and Matillion.

- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data warehouse solutions aligned with business needs.

- Establish data modelling standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.

- Drive performance optimisation, cost optimisation, and data reliability initiatives.

Leadership and Stakeholder Management :

- Lead multiple POD teams, providing architectural guidance and technical direction.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and clients to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Own solution design, technical roadmaps, and delivery governance.

- Mentor technical leads and engineers, fostering best practices and innovation.

Technical Oversight (Hands-on Contribution) :

- Review and optimise complex SQL queries and data transformation logic.

- Ensure adherence to best practices in CI/CD, version control, and deployment strategies.

- Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide architectural resolutions.

Requirements :

- Deep expertise in Snowflake (architecture, performance tuning, security, and administration).

- Strong hands-on experience with Matillion ETL for enterprise-scale data pipelines.

- Advanced SQL skills with a focus on optimisation and large-scale data processing.

- Proven experience in architecting and delivering cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).

- Strong leadership experience managing POD teams or multiple agile squads.

- Ability to balance strategic architecture with hands-on technical oversight.
