Hiring for Snowflake Lead Developer
Experience : 8 Years - 12 Years of Experience
Location : Remote (Work from Home)
Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days maximum
Position : Contractual 6 months - 1 Year
Job Role : Snowflake Lead Developer (should have 8+ years' experience in Data warehousing & min 4 years' experience into snowflake)
Required Mandatory Skills :
- 8+ years of experience in Data Warehousing / Data Engineering
- 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience
- Strong expertise in: Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, micro-partitions, SQL (advanced query writing and optimization), Data modeling (Star, Snowflake, Dimensional models)
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Strong knowledge of ELT/ETL tools (Informatica, Matillion, Talend, dbt, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Python / Shell scripting
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and deployment automation
Nice-to-Have Skills :
- Experience with dbt and modern data stack
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and role-based access control
- Exposure to Bl tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Snowflake certification(s) preferred
- Experience leading end-to-end data migration to Snowflake
Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Lead Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will lead Snowflake implementations, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-performance analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of Snowflake data warehouse solutions
2. Architect scalable and secure data models using Snowflake best practices
3. Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using tools like Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Airflow, or custom frameworks
4. Implement performance tuning, query optimization, clustering, and cost optimization
5. Design and manage data ingestion from multiple sources (RDBMS, APIs, flat files, cloud storage)
6. Lead and mentor junior Snowflake developers and data engineers
7. Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions
8. Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards
9. Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and enhancements
