Snowflake Lead Developer - ETL/Data Warehousing

Description :

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Lead Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will lead Snowflake implementations, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-performance analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Snowflake data warehouse solutions

- Architect scalable and secure data models using Snowflake best practices

- Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using tools like Informatica, Matillion, dbt, Airflow, or custom frameworks

- Implement performance tuning, query optimization, clustering, and cost optimization

- Design and manage data ingestion from multiple sources (RDBMS, APIs, flat files, cloud storage)

- Lead and mentor junior Snowflake developers and data engineers

- Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions

- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards

- Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and enhancements

Technical Skills (Must-Have) :

- 8+ years of experience in Data Warehousing / Data Engineering

- 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience

Strong expertise in :

- Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, micro-partitions

- SQL (advanced query writing and optimization)

- Data modeling (Star, Snowflake, Dimensional models)

- Experience with cloud platforms : AWS / Azure / GCP

- Strong knowledge of ELT/ETL tools (Informatica, Matillion, Talend, dbt, etc.)

- Hands-on experience with Python / Shell scripting

- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and deployment automation

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with dbt and modern data stack

- Knowledge of data governance, security, and role-based access control

- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

- Snowflake certification(s) preferred

- Experience leading end-to-end data migration to Snowflake
