Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer with strong expertise in cloud-based data engineering, Snowflake architecture, and Azure data services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions for enterprise-grade systems.

This role requires deep technical proficiency in Snowflake Cloud Data Platform, Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure DevOps, along with strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, governance, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Snowflake Development & Data Engineering :

- Design, develop, and implement scalable Snowflake data pipelines.

- Build and manage Snowflake Tasks, Stored Procedures, UDFs, Tables, Streams, and Snowpipe for automated data ingestion and processing.

- Perform data transformation including flattening semi-structured data (JSON/XML), filtering, aggregation, and optimization.

- Optimize Snowflake queries, virtual warehouses, and storage for performance and cost efficiency.

- Implement data loading and unloading processes across multiple source systems.

2. Azure Data Integration & ETL/ELT :

- Design and build ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).

- Integrate structured and semi-structured data into Azure Data Lake.

- Develop and maintain Azure Function Apps for custom processing and event-driven workflows.

- Work with XML and JSON file formats for ingestion and transformation.

3. DevOps & Deployment :

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

- Automate deployments, version control, and release management for Snowflake and Azure components.

- Support Dev/Test/Prod environment management and code migration strategies.

4. Data Modeling & Governance :

- Design and implement data models including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.

- Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards.

- Implement role-based access controls, masking policies, and secure data-sharing mechanisms.

5. Performance & Optimization :

- Perform query tuning and warehouse sizing optimization.

- Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

- Improve scalability and reliability of data solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform (Tasks, Stored Procedures, UDFs, Snowpipe, Streams).

- Proficiency in Python and SQL, including advanced query optimization techniques.

- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, and Azure Function Apps.

- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and automation.

- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.

- Experience handling XML and JSON data formats.

- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake schema).

- Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in large-scale enterprise cloud environments.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.

- Certifications in Snowflake or Microsoft Azure (preferred).
