Snowflake Delivery Director - Data Platform

Job Summary :

As part of the leadership team for Data business, the role will be responsible for building and growing the Snowflake data platform capability within the organization.

This role will drive technical leadership, solution development, and delivery excellence for Snowflake-based data solutions.

The individual will work closely with clients, delivery teams, alliance partners, and internal stakeholders to develop Snowflake offerings, build talent, and ensure successful project delivery.

Areas of Responsibility :

Offering and Capability Development :

- Define best practices, architectural standards, and reusable frameworks for Snowflake.

- Collaborate with alliance teams to strengthen partnership with Snowflake.

Technical Leadership :

- Lead solutioning efforts for proposals, RFIs, and RFPs involving Snowflake.

- Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to design standards.

- Act as a technical escalation point for complex project challenges.

Delivery Oversight :

- Drive quality assurance, performance optimization, and project risk mitigation.

- Review project artifacts and ensure alignment with Snowflake best practices.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Talent Development :

- Define skill development pathways and certification goals for team members.

- Mentor architects, developers, and consultants on Snowflake technologies.

- Drive community of practice initiatives to share knowledge and innovations.

Business Development Support :

- Contribute to account growth by identifying new Snowflake opportunities.

- Participate in client presentations, workshops, and technical discussions.

Thought Leadership and Innovation :

- Stay updated with Snowflake product enhancements and industry trends.

Job Requirements : :

- 12-15 years of experience in Data Engineering & Analytics, with at least 3-5 years of deep Snowflake expertise.

- Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale Snowflake implementations.

- Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, security, and data sharing.

- Snowflake certifications preferred (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced).

- Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Snowflake utilities, ELT pipelines, and integration with BI/Analytics tools.

- Exposure to data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

- Experience with complementary tools like DBT, Matillion, Fivetran, Azure/AWS/GCP.

- Strong pre-sales, solutioning, and client engagement experience.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

- Understanding of broader cloud data ecosystem and trends.

- Prior experience in consulting, IT services, or system integration environments.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and ability to mentor and inspire teams.

- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
