We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions within the Snowflake ecosystem. Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and related tools.
- Implement efficient ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from diverse sources into Snowflake.
- Optimize Snowflake data warehouses for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability, including query optimization and cluster management.
- Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and storage solutions in Snowflake.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts and stored procedures within Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues within the Snowflake environment.
- Implement data governance and compliance best practices specific to Snowflake.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards and processes.
Requirements
- 7-15 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing platform.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines within Snowflake.
- Expertise in SQL for complex data manipulation, aggregation, and querying.
- Experience with at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling (dimensional, 3NF), and schema design.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating them with Snowflake.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced).
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Fivetran, DBT).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and their integration with Snowflake.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices in a cloud data warehouse environment.
