Role Overview :
As a Snowflake Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing robust data solutions leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into scalable and efficient data architectures. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring data quality, security, and optimal performance, ultimately driving data-informed decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures on Snowflake, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools like SSIS and Python to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake from various sources.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, data modeling, and resource management, ensuring efficient data access and analysis.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain robust ETL processes, ensuring data quality and consistency across the data landscape.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Define and enforce data governance policies and standards, ensuring data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend new Snowflake features and functionalities to enhance the data platform's capabilities and address evolving business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes on Snowflake.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS and Python.
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques, query optimization, and Snowflake performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles and data security best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment, collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
