Overview :

The Jr QA Engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of the SmartVault and OCMP platforms through comprehensive testing practices, focusing on QA automation to accelerate releases and catch defects early in agile cycles.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute test plans and cases for manual and automated testing : Define test strategies aligned with user stories, covering positive/negative scenarios, and execute via TestRail for traceability and coverage reports.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and load testing : Validate end-to-end flows (functional via UI/API), service interactions (integration with Postman/Newman), suite runs post-sprints (regression), response times/thresholds (performance), and concurrency simulations (load up to 5k users).

- Create and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, JMeter, or Cypress : Build frameworks (Page Object Model for Selenium WebDriver, data-driven JMeter plans, Cypress for E2E), integrate with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), and achieve 70%+ coverage with headless runs.

- Collaborate with development teams to address and resolve defects early : Log/track issues in Jira, pair-program TDD/BDD (Cucumber), participate in code freezes, and retest fixes in dev/staging.

- Maintain detailed documentation of test processes, results, and defect reports : Author living docs (Confluence), generate Allure reports with screenshots/videos, and update smoke/acceptance suites.

- Ensure platform compliance with industry quality standards : Test for GDPR/SOC2 (data privacy), OWASP Top 10 security, and SLAs (99.9% uptime).

Required Skills :

- Proficiency in automation tools (Selenium, JMeter, Cypress) and scripting languages (JavaScript/Python).

- Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Agile/BDD) and performance testing frameworks (Gatling).

- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for database testing (joins, aggregations for validation).
