Job Description

As a QA Architect, you will:

- Design, document, and implement test automation frameworks and strategies for new systems, enhancements, and modifications.

- Define and implement QA architecture, ensuring test solutions are scalable, maintainable, and reusable across products.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria.

- Develop test strategy and specifications, and lead automation implementation across functional, regression, API, and performance testing.

- Architect and own CI/CD test integration, ensuring automated tests run reliably within build/deploy pipelines.

- Drive test coverage, quality metrics, and defect trends, and report on product quality health to leadership.

- Evaluate and implement automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) suited to the tech stack.

- Stay current with QA/automation industry trends and emerging tools, recommending adoption where relevant.

- Mentor and train QA engineers, helping them grow automation and testing skills.

As a QA Architect, you must have:

- 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a strong focus on test automation architecture and strategy.

- Proven experience designing and scaling automation frameworks from scratch (UI, API, and/or mobile).

- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.

- Experience with API testing/automation tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar, and RESTful web services.

- Proficiency in scripting/programming for test automation JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or similar.

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).

- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

- Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling) is a plus.

- Good command of cloud infrastructure AWS (preferred), MS Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles, and Agile methodologies.

- Experience working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Development teams.

- Ability to mentor and train junior QA engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.

- Strong vision and ability to deliver quickly in a fast-paced start-up culture.
