We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. In this role, you will leverage deep systems engineering expertise and automation capabilities to design, operate, and enhance critical enterprise infrastructure.
You will work across VMware, Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, storage, and infrastructure automation to ensure our platforms remain resilient, scalable, secure, and highly available.
This position is ideal for an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong background in private cloud environments, enterprise datacenters, infrastructure as code, troubleshooting, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, operate, and continuously improve VMware-based private cloud infrastructure across multiple datacenter environments.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve operational consistency, and enhance infrastructure reliability.
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments supporting business-critical and customer-facing applications.
- Manage and support core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, authentication services, networking, storage, and load balancing.
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives to improve platform resilience, performance, security, scalability, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Network, Security, SRE, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and engineering standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across infrastructure initiatives.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Systems Engineering or Enterprise Infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience managing VMware environments, including:
1. ESXi
2. vCenter
3. HA, DRS, and vMotion
4. Distributed Virtual Switches
- Good experience with Linux administration, including troubleshooting, patching, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing Windows Server and Active Directory services, including DNS, Group Policy, and authentication.
- Experience creating infrastructure automation using tools such as PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, or similar.
- Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, monitoring, and support operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability and system improvement.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with load balancing platforms such as F5 BIG-IP or AVI / NSX Advanced Load Balancer.
- Experience with enterprise hardware and storage platforms such as Pure Storage or Cisco UCS.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Understanding of infrastructure security practices and compliance standards such as CIS, NIST, or ISO.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere technologies, including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, and vMotion, along with solid Linux and Windows Server administration skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, and Ansible for system management and automation.
- Good understanding of enterprise networking, storage technologies, load balancing, infrastructure automation, and datacenter operations.
- Experience with tools and platforms such as Git, Terraform, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, F5 BIG-IP, NSX Advanced Load Balancer, Cisco UCS, and Pure Storage is preferred.
- Knowledge of security hardening practices and infrastructure reliability best practices.
