About The Role & Team :
As a Mobile Architect at SITA, you will be responsible for defining and governing the architecture of mobile solutions across our portfolio of air transport industry products and services.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to design robust, scalable, and secure mobile architectures that meet complex industry requirements, including passenger experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
You will drive technical excellence in mobile app frameworks, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and help SITA deliver world-class digital experiences to customers and passengers alike.
What Youll Do :
- Define and maintain reference architecture for mobile solutions across SITAs Borders product lines.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to iOS, Android, and cross-platform development teams.
- Evaluate and recommend mobile frameworks, SDKs, and toolchains aligned with SITAs technology strategy.
- Oversee end-to-end solution architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate secure design principles into mobile solutions.
- Support modernization of legacy apps, promoting best practices in code quality, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs in partnership with product teams.
- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with architectural standards.
- Stay abreast of mobile technology trends and recommend innovations that enhance customer value.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps to support future growth and exceptional user experiences.
Qualifications :
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS :
- 8+ years of experience in IT environment.
- Significant experience architecting and delivering complex enterprise-grade mobile applications.
- Deep knowledge of native (Swift, Kotlin) and cross-platform (Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, etc.) technologies.
- Strong background in mobile security (authentication, secure data storage, secure communications).
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- Proven experience with mobile DevOps, including CI/CD, automated testing, and app store deployment processes.
- Strong grasp of scalable design patterns, performance optimization, and offline/online data synchronization.
- Experience working in regulated or safety-critical industries (aviation, transport, or similar) preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
NICE-TO-HAVE :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based mobile backends such as Firebase, AWS Amplify, or Azure Mobile Apps.
- Familiarity with aviation and travel industry processes and business requirements.
