SIS First - Software Architect - .Net/AngularJS/Javascript

SUMMARY :

Provide architectural and big-picture oversight for development of new or enhanced software products. Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system and providingday-to-day technical guidance to the development teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Define the system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development and recommend course of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness.

- Stay up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues.

- Research and implement best practices frameworks/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and/or increase predictability of service delivery.

- Research new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology.

- Drive software design for agile software teams, including providing patterns, design diagrams and team direction and mentorship.

- Develop Proof of Concept prototypes to demonstrate value or benefits of new technologies and processes

- Develop flexible, robust code or code packages that can be shared across products and teams

EDUCATION DESIRED :

- Bachelor Degree desired or equivalent military or work experience

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED :

- 9+ years of progressive experience and proficiency in the following :

1. Web Application Architecture

2. HTML/ AJAX/ CSS/ JSON

3. AngularJS / Angular

4. Web Services (Soap & Rest)

5. C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core

6. Database Architecture (SQL Server, NoSQL)

- Experience with Node.js, ASP.net and ASP.net Core

- Experience with Cloud Architecture as well as implementing cloud native solutions in a large public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).

1. Service Oriented, N-Tier, Layered and Micro-Services Architectures

2. Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins (or other automation tools) strongly desired
