SIS First - Site Reliability Engineer - Azure Infrastructure

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage and optimize a large scale, mission critical private and public cloud environment, with a focus on Azure public cloud.

- Implement, secure, and maintain Windows Server and Ubuntu Server configurations.

- Performance tune and troubleshoot workloads on Windows and IIS.

- Develop, execute, and test backup and recovery strategies within Azure.

- Install, configure, and monitor Windows and Ubuntu servers in a secure manner.

- Operate effectively within a multi-tenant SaaS architecture.

- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure components, including networking, security, access control, storage, and cost management.

- Automate server configurations and manage Azure resources and VMs at scale using PowerShell, Ansible, and other automation tools.

- PowerShell and automation experience for managing Azure and Virtual Machines at scale.

- Utilize Azure Monitor and other monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related experience

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in enterprise-scale or customer-facing SaaS environments.

- Proven track record in managing 24x7 production environments.

- Proficiency in managing Azure infrastructure with PowerShell.

- Skilled in designing and implementing robust backup and recovery plans.

- Adept at monitoring systems and responding to incidents.

- Experience in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Microsoft IIS.

- Quick at diagnosing performance and operational issues and providing solutions.

- Competent in virtualization, environment sizing, and infrastructure optimization.

- Solid understanding of core infrastructure and security principles.
