Description : Key Responsibilities : - Contacting application owners to obtain required SSL certificates. - Creating and managing change requests. - Applying new security policies where necessary. - Supporting application owners in making the case for SSL certificate renewal as part of the cloud migration strategy. - Coordinating migrations from on-premises WAF to cloud WAF. - Working closely with GNS Security Engineers to facilitate a smooth transition. - Perform complex migrations from on-premises to Cloud WAF, including projects involving government-restricted sites, consolidation of existing WAF hardware, and WAF upgrades. - Addressing the existing SSL certificate backlog to release engineering capacity for critical security initiatives, including WAF API security, Anti-Bot strategies, GDPR compliance, as well as pending deployments and infrastructure enhancements. - Clearing out the backlog of 200 SSL certificates which need to be replaced due to the Certificate Authority Sectigo issuing non compatible SHA384 SSL certificates. - Allocating GNS engineering resources towards managing escalations and participating in training for Next Generation IPS migrations. - Empowering the team to prioritise automation, as well as updates to security posture, policies, and support frameworks. - Enabling the engineering team to work on improving our security posture as recommended by the WAF security review. - Rapidly clear the backlog of 500 SSL certificates, 2. - Enhanced Security During Cloud Transition - Handle time-consuming tasks (certificate collection, change requests, policy updates), freeing engineers to focus on escalations, automation, and strategic security improvements. - Coordinate closely with application owners and GNS Security Engineers, streamlining communication and reducing friction in the migration process
