Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 6+ years in the field, specializing in building and managing scalable, resilient, and automated systems. This role requires hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes container orchestration, and Jenkins for robust CI/CD pipeline implementation. The successful candidate must possess strong scripting skills (Python/Java) and a proven ability to collaborate across teams, driving continuous deployment and operational excellence.

Job Description :

Cloud Infrastructure and Automation :

- Design, implement, and manage secure and high-performing cloud infrastructure with hands-on expertise in AWS services, including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience or relevant certification.

- Configure and manage foundational Linux systems, ensuring security hardening and performance optimization across all environments.

- Manage critical Networking and infrastructure components like Elastic Load Balancers (ELB), VPCs, and Auto Scaling Groups to ensure high availability and efficient traffic distribution.

- Implement and optimize comprehensive Monitoring and alerts solutions to proactively track application health, system performance, and quickly address operational issues.

Containerization and CI/CD Pipeline Management :

- Design and manage end-to-end Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins for automation, testing, and deployment.

- Demonstrate a verifiable track record of implementing continuous deployment (CD) methodologies that reliably and safely push code changes through to production.

- Utilize mandatory Kubernetes expertise (2+ years hands-on or certification) for container orchestration, including cluster configuration, provisioning, and deployment to production environments.

- Enforce the use of containers (Docker) as standardized build artifacts throughout the development and deployment lifecycle, ensuring environment parity.

- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to streamline code releases, define efficient branching strategies, and ensure rapid feature delivery.

Scripting, Quality, and Problem Solving :

- Apply Strong Scripting Skills (Python/Java) to develop custom automation tools, Glue code, and operational utilities, driving the principle of automation-first.

- Utilize Strong Problem-solving Ability to identify technical bottlenecks, diagnose complex system bugs, and devise efficient and permanent solutions.

- Contribute to maintaining code quality, organization, and standardization across all infrastructure and pipeline codebases.

- Advocate for security best practices and compliance throughout the infrastructure and application lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Mandatory 6+ years in DevOps/Cloud Engineering roles.

- Cloud : AWS expertise (Certification or 2+ years hands-on), including Linux systems configuration and networking components like ELB.

- Container Orchestration : Kubernetes expertise (Certification or 2+ years hands-on), including provisioning and deployment to production.

- CI/CD : Mandatory expertise in Jenkins and a demonstrable track record of implementing continuous deployment (CD).

- Core Skills : Strong Scripting Skills (Python/Java) and strong problem-solving ability.

- Practices : Experience with containers as build artifacts, and implementation of monitoring and alerts.

- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills :

- Development : Prior Software development experience (as a plus).

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Experience with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Methodology : Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Security : Knowledge of security scanning tools and vulnerability management in a CI/CD pipeline.

- Certification : AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes CKA/CKAD certification.
