Investment Accounting, a product area within SimCorps Product Division, forms the backbone of our flagship product SimCorp One.
It delivers rules and calculation methods to provide our clients with legally binding subledger for all supported financial asset classes.

What You Will Be Responsible For :
- Build solutions: collaborate closely with your team, Product Managers, Architects, peers and end-users to deliver high-quality, secure and valuable solutions in the Investment Accounting product area.
- Contribute across the entire development lifecycle from requirements analysis and design to implementation, test automation, documentation, and ongoing support.
- Put yourself in the shoes of the end-user: Conduct context-based, exploratory, and scenario testing and Test Driven Development.
- Engage meaningfully in team meetings, cross-team feature refinements and planning sessions.
- Drive innovations, uphold technical excellence and quality, advocate best practices, and continuously improve our ways of working.
Your daily work life will thus also include topics such as how can we reduce our build time, how can we re architect this component to perform significantly faster, and how can we work together in a more fun and effective way.
- Continuously learn: Improve yourself, your team and SimCorp.
- Think beyond the code: Understand our strategy, goals and customer needs to enhance SimCorps impact.
- Mentor, coach, and help colleagues to secure the teams deliveries as well as quality and product architecture.
Your Skills :
We expect you to specialize in several of the following :
- What you do not know we expect you to learn fast.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented and functional programming languages.
- Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based development.
- Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries.
- Solid understanding of automated testing and quality assurance practices.
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn in-house tools and frameworks including the APL programming language.
- Willingness to dive into a complex domain, working with accounting, finance, and investment-related instruments.
- A problem-solving mindset, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for learning and evolving.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable working in agile environments, where delivery scopes evolve and collaboration is key.
What We Value :
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems and fintech domain.
