Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced SFDC API Automation Tester with strong expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, automation frameworks, and REST API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both UI and API automation using Java-based frameworks, along with solid understanding of QA methodologies, CI/CD processes, and Agile practices. Experience in Salesforce automation and telecom/e-commerce domains will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

Quality Engineering & Automation :

- Develop, execute, and maintain UI and API automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, or Karate.

- Perform end-to-end testing across frontend, backend APIs, and integrations.

- Design and enhance testing frameworks to support continuous testing initiatives.

- Automate test scenarios for Salesforce Sales Cloud features, business workflows, and APIs.

- Participate in code reviews, automation strategy discussions, and framework optimization.

Salesforce Testing & API Validation :

- Work on Salesforce Sales Cloud modules and validate business logic, workflows, data flows, and API responses.

- Analyze API specifications, perform REST API validations, and automate API test cases.

- Perform cross-system testing involving Salesforce integrations and third-party APIs.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with requirement specifications.

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.

- Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA/Zephyr or similar tools.

- Ensure high-quality releases through continuous validation and automation.

DevOps, CI/CD & Configuration Management :

- Work with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, etc.) to enable continuous testing.

- Use configuration management tools such as Git or SVN for version control.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate test automation suites into CI/CD environments.

Collaboration & Agile Practices :

- Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Provide test estimations and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

- Communicate testing progress, challenges, and risks to the team proactively.

Technical Troubleshooting & Environment Handling :

- Execute tests in Linux-based environments using tools like curl, netcat, and other utilities.

- Work with containers and app servers (Tomcat, Docker) to deploy and test components.

- Troubleshoot environment issues and support test environment stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud.

- Expertise in UI & API Automation using Java (Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, Karate).

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Postman, and API validation.

- Test/Defect Management tools (JIRA/Zephyr).

- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, etc.

- Experience using configuration management systems : Git, SVN, etc.

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and best practices.

- Linux/Unix exposure and experience using Linux-based testing tools (curl, netcat).

- Experience with web application servers and containers (Tomcat, Docker).

- Ability to write effective test plans, test cases, and documentation.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have :

- Salesforce Application Automation experience.

- Telecom or eCommerce domain knowledge.

- Ability to develop or enhance automation frameworks.

Education :

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
