We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Service Portal - Backend Developer to join our fast-growing ServiceNow Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend functionalities for custom ServiceNow Service Portal solutions. You'll work closely with front-end developers, architects, and stakeholders to implement scalable and efficient backend logic using best practices within the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement backend components of the ServiceNow Service Portal using Javascript, Glide API, and other server-side technologies.

- Create and manage server-side scripts including Script Includes, Business Rules, Workflow scripts, and UI Actions.

- Develop custom APIs and integrations to support data retrieval and manipulation within the ServiceNow Ecosystem.

- Optimize portal performance and ensure adherence to platform governance, best practices, and security guidelines.

- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and front-end developers to deliver seamless portal experiences.

- Participate in agile development practices including Sprint Planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend logic, performance, and data integrity.

- Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a strong focus on Service portal backend functionality.

- Proficiency in Javascript and Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideSystem, etc.)

- Experience in UI Builder

- Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture and data model.

- Experience working with REST APIs, integrations, and MID Servers.

- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and tools (JIRA, ServiceNow Agile, etc.).

- Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

- Experience with Scoped Applications and Flow Designer.

- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap) used in the Service Portal is a plus.

- Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
