Position : ServiceNow Developer

Experience : 57 Years (ServiceNow Development)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow applications across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, OMT, and custom business modules. The role involves building complex workflows, developing Service Portal components, integrating external systems, and ensuring the stability and performance of the platform.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Application Development & Customization :

- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow modules, custom-scoped applications, and ITSM/ITOM/CSM functionalities.

- Implement Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and server-side scripts using JavaScript and Glide APIs.

- Create automations using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Integration Hub.

2. Service Portal Development :

- Build responsive and interactive Service Portal components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, and AJAX.

- Customize widgets, themes, pages, and reusable UI components.

3. Integrations :

- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, MID Server, JDBC, and Integration Hub spokes.

- Build authentication flows using OAuth, API keys, and Basic Auth.

4. Platform Administration & Configuration :

- Manage instance configuration including ACLs, roles, notifications, email configurations, and form/page layouts.

- Support instance upgrades, cloning, patching, and environment maintenance.

- Configure and maintain CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management, and other foundational modules.

5. Reporting & Analytics :

- Build dashboards, PA widgets, reports, and KPIs for ITSM, ITOM, and CSM processes.

- Ensure data quality and contribute to continuous process optimization.

6. Troubleshooting & Support :

- Perform root cause analysis, fix defects, optimize scripts, and improve system performance.

- Collaborate with QA and functional teams during SIT/UAT cycles.

7. Collaboration :

- Work closely with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient technical solutions.

- Provide effort estimates, technical documentation, and adhere to coding standards/best practices.

Required Skills :

- 57 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

- Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and advanced scripting techniques

- Hands-on experience in ITSM, CMDB, CSM, ITOM, and custom app development

- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Workflow Editor

- Strong understanding of Service Portal development (mandatory)

- Experience integrating third-party systems via REST/SOAP

- Good understanding of ITIL concepts and platform best practices

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Domain Separation

- Knowledge of Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management

- Familiarity with Telecom / OSS-BSS environments

- ServiceNow Certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS modules)
