Role Description :

The ServiceNow CMDB Developer will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining CMDB-related solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role involves working extensively with data integrations, transform maps, import sets, and troubleshooting complex CMDB issues. The candidate must be comfortable working in secure environments (White Room) and overlapping with US business hours when required.

Responsibilities :

ServiceNow CMDB Development & Maintenance :

- Manage and enhance CMDB structure, relationships, and reconciliation rules.

- Ensure CMDB data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.

- Implement CMDB health dashboards and data quality checks.

Scripting & Automation :

- Develop using JavaScript / Glide scripting for CMDB automation.

- Build and optimize Transform Maps, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Data Policies.

- Automate data loading processes through Import Sets and workflows.

Data Integration & Mapping :

- Configure data integrations using REST, JSON, and Service Graph Connectors.

- Analyze payloads and handle complex data mapping scenarios.

- Work with Data Sources to support bulk and incremental data loads.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution :

- Diagnose and resolve CMDB data integrity and reconciliation issues.

- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams for integration issues.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Security, and Platform teams.

- Participate in requirement gathering, technical discussions, and solution design.

- Provide support during audits and ensure documentation accuracy.

Required Skillsets :

Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and its data model

- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, Transform Maps, Import Sets

- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and Service Graph Connectors

- Experience with reconciliation, identification rules, and CMDB best practices

Analytical Skills :

- Ability to analyze data payloads and perform advanced data mappings

- Strong troubleshooting skills for data integrity and transformation issues

Platform Knowledge :

- Good understanding of ServiceNow architecture and modules

- Exposure to ServiceNow integrations and secure environments (White Room)
