Server Engineer - Windows/Active Directory

Job Title : Server Engineer

Location : Bangalore

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Server Engineer with 8 - 10 years of relevant experience to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in Windows Server Administration, virtualization technologies, backup & disaster recovery, cloud migration (preferably AWS), and automation using PowerShell.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Manage Windows Server OS (2012/2016/2019/2022)

- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies

- Perform server patching, updates, and health monitoring

- Troubleshoot server performance issues and manage shared resources (file/print servers)

Virtualization & Backup :

- Handle virtualization using Hyper-V or VMware

- Configure, monitor, and restore backups (e.g., Veeam, Windows Backup)

Cloud & Migration (On-Prem to Cloud/Box AWS Preferred) :

- Execute file server migrations to Box, OneDrive, or SharePoint

- Use tools like Box Shuttle, Robocopy, or PowerShell scripts

- Migrate user permissions and folder structures

- Validate data integrity and provide user support post-migration

Scripting & Automation :

- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell

Qualifications :

- B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics & Communication

Non-Negotiable Criteria :

- High attention to detail and strong time management skills

- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
