Server Engineer - ITIL Frameworks

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

- Manage and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

- Support and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

- Implement and monitor server security, patching, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.

- Perform system performance tuning and capacity planning.

- Automate routine tasks with PowerShell or other scripting tools.

- Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to ensure system availability and compliance.

Requirements

- Proven expertise with virtualization and system performance tuning.

- Familiarity with backup solutions, patch management, and IT security best practices.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Technical Skills :

Must-Have :

- Directory Services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy

- Virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V

- Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, IAM, S3), Azure (VMs, AD, Backup)

- Scripting: PowerShell (automation, reporting, server tasks)

- Backup & Recovery: Veeam, Commvault, or similar solutions

- Security: Patch management, endpoint hardening, access control

Good-to-Have :

- Familiarity with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, SCOM)

- ITIL awareness or certification

Experience : 48 years

Education : B.Tech / B.E. / MCA or equivalent in IT/Computer Science

Title : Server Engineer
